I am a 30-something who lives in Bellevue, Wash., while my husband, the CDR, serves in the U.S. Coast Guard.

I have two children, the too-smart-for-his-own-good, five-year-old Mo; and the three-year-old, danger-monkey Kel.

I am also the proud mother of a 6-year-old Vizsla named Clive and I drive a Toyota Sienna named Hagrid.

I am a stay-at-home mom by day and a graduate student in arts administration by nights and weekends. When I have spare time, I love creating new recipes (especially ones that involve chocolate and/or sugar), and I have recently taken up knitting.

I like potatoes of all kinds: mashed, hash-browned, French-fried, you name it.

And if it were socially acceptable and healthy, I would watch television, movies, and theatre performances all day, every day.
